Cinema software and technology to reduce costs, increase efficiency, grow revenues and improve the cinema experience for customers

I'm an electronics engineer turned product-person, I've spent my career delivering world-class software products and systems-integration projects within the Cinema and audio-visual industries. I have an adaptable and pragmatic approach to the daily challenges experienced within a fast-moving software development environment. I have a (seriously) strong sense of ownership over my tasks. I’m an extremely fast learner, a natural problem solver, and lead teams by giving the information and direction they need to succeed, and the space within which to do it. I've now spent five years working with multi-disciplinary software teams, on both a tactical and strategic level, delivering industry-leading software products and services. I'm a strong believer in user research, data-driven decision making and continuous feedback. I accept that I often don't know the answer, but always have a good idea where to go to find it. I have worked mainly in Agile enviroments, both Scrum and Kanban, but know there is no one-size-fits-all approach so always support trying new ways of working. Going back, I'm a BSc graduate and spent nearly a decade as an engineer within the Audio Visual industries. Consequently, I think very much on a 'systems' level. During that time I built a practical understanding of a vast array of engineering disciplines such as content delivery, satellite communications, video transcoding and command-line Linux computing. In more recent years I've been able to utilise more of my strategic qualities, twice defining a vision and then delivering strategically against that. I've become strong at communicating at all levels of tech and business, and have introduced thematic-based (as opposed to time/feature-based) roadmaps at two companies. I'm an articulate speaker and possess strong written communication skills -which I put to practice blogging. I'm an influencer, with a history of gaining trust and respect of colleagues, customers and at board-level.
