Chief Executive Officer at Arla Foods where we are dedicated to providing nutritious, affordable and more sustainable dairy products through inspiring brands while delivering long-term value and opportunities for our 11,200 Arla’s farmer owners in Northern Europe. I am a firm believer that we need progressive and financially robust farmers to solving what is probably the food industry’s biggest challenge: to provide good food in a sustainable manner to a global population that will reach almost 10 billion citizens in 2050. The farmers should not only produce more milk, but also to develop their farming methods to become more sustainable, while maintaining high standards for milk quality and animal welfare. Long-term financial stability is the prerequisite for farmers to actively participate in this challenge and it’s a key priority for us at Arla to deliver the highest possible milk price through a strong performance across the business. We continually improve and explore opportunities for growth. Together, we have defined and delivered ambitious growth strategies that have pushed us to the next level. As a result, we have initiated and implemented a number of big cooperative mergers, entered new markets in the world’s emerging regions, heavily invested in supply chain, innovation and branding, all the while maintaining a pro-active efficiency agenda. I have personally invested most of my ressources in making Arla Foods a value-driven company. We use our vision, mission and Good Growth identity to motivate each other to deliver growth while focusing on nutrition, naturalness, sustainability and transparency. When I’m off work, my time is spend with my wife, my son and my four daughters.
