I am a senior software engineer with over 20 years experience (now a Software Development Manager). I have been working on next generation serverless platforms, coded in Typescript and deployed on AWS. Every member of the team is responsible for the design, implementation and operation of the platform solutions we deliver, as well providing SDKs for web and mobile platforms. My previous role at my current company was a DevOps/DevSecOps role responsible for automating, running and securing our AWS platform. Prior to my current role, I spent the majority of my career working on a wide variety of mostly Java projects which comprise of various APIs, microservices and front end components. My core skills are Java, Typescript, Spring/SpringBoot, Hibernate, Rest APIs, AWS, Bash, Python and related technologies. I have experience in various Agile methodologies, including SCRUM, Kanban and XP. I am a passionate technology professional who enjoys working with modern technology stacks and learning new languages, tools and approaches. I have worked in various industries, such as Internet Privacy, Property, Defence, Travel, Internet Content Filtering, Fuel Management and Smart Card Technologies in various countries. I am a very reliable person, easy to get on with and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Positive team player, having worked in teams of between 4 and 8 people most of my career. Work efficiently on my own, including remote working, as I have excellent time and workload management skills. Comfortable assuming lead roles in teams and mentoring others.
