Started my career doing digital comms planning, media strategy, planning and buying. Worked at a few agencies. Eventually moved into media tech and data, first by hitting the conference circuit and having coffee with lots of smart people, then getting direct experience by doing it myself. Through all this got real knowledgeable across digital media-tech-data, and versatile with expertise in strategy, partnerships and activation. Parlayed that into a strategic advisory role at MediaLink to bring the various facets of my expertise together: advertising strategy and activation, tech and data, product strategy and development, product positioning, and go-to-market strategy and activation for clients across brands, agencies, publishers, and tech and data vendors. While all that was happening during the day, at night I would emerge from the phone booth as a ballroom dance instructor and (mostly improvisational) comedian. Aside from having truckloads of fun, I was able to get really sharp on public poise, authority and authenticity, presentation skills, engaging and holding an audience, teaching difficult things, collaborating, mentoring and teamwork.
