Alpha Media is a start-up in the mature industry of radio broadcast media. We have a passion for great radio and digital content. We believe in creating progressive products, world class events and building strong relationships in our communities. In 2013 we owned 6 stations in 1 market. Today we own and operate 250 stations in 51 markets across the United States.

As President / CEO of Alpha Media – a growing radio broadcast and media company – Bob has brought a passion for great radio and digital content. The Alpha Media philosophy is to be smaller, faster, bolder, and work as a high functioning, best of class team at all levels. Alpha Media works with a strong focus on creating progressive products, world class events and building strong relationships in our communities.In 2009, Bob Proffitt and Larry Wilson, along with a core team of seasoned radio professionals became owners of Alpha Broadcasting in Portland, Oregon. Since that time, the team has acquired an additional 87 stations and operates in 18 markets across the US.Prior to that, Bob served as the President, Chief Operating Officer of Citadel Broadcasting Corporation, which at that time was the third largest radio company in the United States with 206 stations in 42 mid-sized markets prior to being sold.Bob actively serves on the Board of the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB), National Association of Broadcasters Political Action Committee (NABPAC), Pioneer Courthouse Square, Children's Cancer Association and Umbrella for Life committees’. Bob is the proud father of four lovely daughters and lives, with his wife and youngest daughter, in Lake Oswego, Oregon.
