Software Engineer

I am a first year Master of Computer Science student at Rice University. Currently, I am searching for a summer internship opportunity in 2017. Before coming to Rice, I finished my undergraduate study at South China University of Technology and obtained a bachelor of engineering degree in software engineering. In my junior year, I interned as a software engineer at Alipay which is the largest online and mobile digital payment service provider in China. During that period of time, I not only had the chance to apply and practice the skills I learned in class, but also gained a lot of real-world engineering experience while working and discussing with my outstanding mentors and colleagues. For me, the most exciting thing about software engineering is the possibility that I am always able to build or create something that benefit people and make them really happy. However, it is never a easy thing to do. I believe that a good software engineer has to be an excellent and quick learner in the first place and stay curious about new stuffs including both technical and untechnical areas. I happen to be this type of person, so this is another reason why I love software engineering.
