As General Manager at Ulta Beauty I am responsible for all aspects of managing a single retail store, inclusive of the salon. Essential functions include, -Conduct daily business analysis that results in the planning & directing of employees to meet or exceed budgeted store & salon sales, expenses, profit & productivity goals. -Promote & develop ULTA sales and loyalty programs to meet or exceed goals. -Manage sales floor & drive retail and salon sales by: addressing customer concerns, coaching employees, and mitigating product loss. -Communicate with employees through daily chat-ins to discuss store & individual sales goals. -Schedule staff effectively in consideration of store traffic, events, store profits & loss. -Manage & process payroll for the store including accountability for loss prevention- audit payroll, human resources sections & meeting on-target standards. -Motivate & lead management team to consistently deliver an uplifting experience for the customer. -Recruit, assess and hire qualified management team and staff candidates utilizing company hiring policies and procedures. -Facilitate new hire orientation process, learning maps, internal & external sales & product training and education events. -Implement and facilitate key programs to effectively train and develop staff in the areas of customer service, product knowledge, inventory control and merchandising. -Ensure all company policies, standards and procedures are communicated effectively and are implemented, maintained and followed in a consistent manner. -Evaluate and conduct performance reviews for staff and management. -Effectively communicates strategy and store direction in alignment with company initiatives to all store employees via appropriate channels. -Execute key corporate communication actions, updates communication boards and addresses weekly mailings to the Corporate office. -Manage Impact Shrink Program & responsible for the POS system and all related procedures.
