For nearly 19 years, I served as Chairman, President, and CEO of Abiomed, Inc. (NASDAQ: ABMD), revolutionizing the field of heart recovery through the development of Impella®, the world’s smallest heart pumps. I devoted myself and the company to recovering hearts and saving lives, leading in technology and innovation, growing shareholder value, and sustaining a winning culture. This culture and vision led Abiomed, Inc. to be one of the fastest growing, GAAP profitable MedTech companies, generating total shareholder return of 2,467% since April 2004 and 1,172% in the last 10 years. I am passionate about supporting education, military veterans and causes for children. As a U.S. military veteran, I co-founded and sit on the Board of MedTechVets, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that helps military veterans discover career opportunities in MedTech. In 2015, I co-founded the Mike and Renee Minogue Foundation to support faith-based education and pediatric care through partnerships with the Catholic Schools Foundation, WonderFund, Boston Children’s Hospital, and multiple others. I am married with five children and enjoy reading, mentoring, running, coaching, and skiing.
