The experts in face, mouth and jaw surgery(r) - The American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS) is the professional organization representing more than 10,000 oral and maxillofacial surgeons, OMS residents and professional allied staff in the United States. AAOMS supports its fellows' and members' ability to practice their specialty through education, research and advocacy. AAOMS fellows and members comply with rigorous continuing education requirements and submit to periodic office anesthesia evaluations.

I have a deep passion for global health advocacy and communication with a tilt towards women and gender equity, and write about these matters at www.endthenow.com. I graduated from Sterling College with a bachelor of arts degree in communications and an interdisciplinary degree in societal justice. I went on to complete a masters of arts in organizational leadership from Eastern University. Currently, I am pursuing a certificate in global health from Johns Hopkins University, and a masters of public health (health communications focus) from The George Washington University. My husband and I are living in North Lawndale, Chicago learning about relocation, reconciliation and redistribution based on the CCDA’s philosophy of community development. I am also a volunteer ambassador for Fistula Foundation.
