VSA Partners is a design-driven branding and marketing company. VSA was founded as a design firm more than 30 years ago with the belief that design is not only a craft, but a tool for achieving business objectives. As design thinkers, we approach business challenges holistically and aim to break down silos between branding, digital, marketing and advertising. VSA's Design Practice is responsible for bringing our clients' stories, visions and voices to life. At the intersection of Strategy and Digital, we make ideas tangible and meaningful for the audiences that matter, in a cross-platform, media-agnostic way. The Associate Creative Director achieves and maintains a high quality level for all work produced for assigned accounts. He/she leads the creative course of projects and is responsible for the work flow of Design Teams. He/she will embrace and support VSA's policies and culture and will have the personal goal of producing the best quality work at all times.

I build interfaces. Sometimes those interfaces are brands, sometimes they're strategies, sometimes they’re names, sometimes they’re stories, sometimes they’re experiences and sometimes they’re something else entirely. Regardless of the form they take, they all start with language. For me, language is primal. We learn to speak before we learn to do almost anything else. And we’re literally born to name. Some of our first connections involve pointing and then naming. “Mommy.” “Daddy.” “Doggy.” Language welcomes us to the world. I mix language with what could be called “technology thinking.” It's like design thinking that's grounded in writing. The world we experience is both mediated by and filtered through programming languages so, in a sense, we live in a written world. Boiling it all down, I build brands, strategies, names, stories, experiences and more by blending principles from various types of language to create deep, powerful connections. The culmination of my approach is shown in the case study video below, and my clients have included AARP, Capital One, CVS, Fidelity, Google, MasterCard, Nike, SAP, Subaru, the United Nations, Verizon, Walmart and more.
