Ruben is responsible for analyzing feedback to capture the voice of the employee across Verizon, develops business intelligence to implement work solutions for the business units and continuously measures employee perception to gauge alignment to organizational goals. In addition to the employee opinion surveys, his team works with Human Resources information systems (HRIS) team and IT to drive the employee experience delivered via Verizon’s HR employee portal: About You. In order to meet the needs of a changing talent landscape and Verizon’s move towards an agile workforce, Ruben works with global real estate and IT to drive a culture shift to enable a global mobile workforce by aligning policies, providing training and leveraging the company’s key technologies. Prior to this, Ruben has held various roles with HR. Working in HRIS, he converged separate HR portals to deliver Verizon’s Wireline HR portal and sought to increase productivity and employee satisfaction by redesigning the site to focus on tools and information by role. In an operations support capacity, he was responsible for researching external business strategies and HR trends and working with internal stakeholders to understand business challenges. This work contributed to the HR strategic framework that supported Verizon’s business priorities.
