Almost 20 years experience in legal roles, gained through 10 years as a corporate and commercial solicitor at two large international law firms (Nabarro (now CMS) and DLA Piper) and 10 years in senior management and executive roles in-house in General Counsel and Chief Risk Officer roles. Experienced member of the Executive team and the Executive Committee, and Chair of the Executive Risk Committee. Experienced at leading teams and strategic thinking across Legal & Co Sec, Compliance, Financial Crime, Risk and Credit Risk functions.  This includes the activity of Data Protection Officer and Company Secretary, advising on domestic and international M&A and managing the delivery of Legal and Co Sec services across multiple overseas jurisdictions. FCA and PRA approved under SMCR as SMF 4 (Chief Risk Officer) and previously as SMF 16 (Compliance) and SMF 17 (MLRO). Experienced at regulatory liaison (FCA and PRA) and managing regulatory visits and reviews. Commercially minded and customer focused with a track record of building and leading high performing teams and creating a positive culture.
