I believe marketing is a mix of both art and science. While you certainly need expertise in both, most marketers are attracted either to the art, or the science. Me? I am considered creative by many - but love the science of marketing. I like building campaigns that create a measurable and meaningful difference in an organization. Sure, I know how to create a good looking campaign that appeals to target prospects. Though design is almost always subjective, there is no hiding from the actual numbers in a well-executed marketing campaign. My competitive streak means if I am going to be a marketer of merit - I not only have to deliver the numbers - but blow them out of the water! So that is what I do. Add to this, I LOVE B2B marketing and have been involved in marketing and selling professional services (aka selling air) for emerging service categories for more than 20 years. I am entrepreneurial. I have moved up in the last five companies I have worked for including the role of Global CEO and, President, while firmly holding onto my Chief Marketing Officer position and title. I enjoy and have a knack for demystifying marketing for the non-marketer. I have trained, coached, and mentored people from all around the world to not only understand the science AND art of marketing, but to see it from their prospects and customers points of view. I willingly share my demonstrated knowledge on what to expect response-wise from a campaign before launch and am able to immediately recognize what went wrong in a not-so-successful campaign and how to fix it. Marketing is an investment, with a measurable and predictable ROI after all. Marketing for me is not only my vocation, it is my passion. I am pretty good at it too.
