Hugh Barrett Vice President, Technical Solutions Telos Corporation Hugh Barrett is vice president of technical solutions for Telos Corporation, a leading provider of continuous security solutions and services for the world’s most security-conscious agencies and organizations. In this role, he is responsible for managing all cyber security solutions offered to Federal, Defense and Intelligence agencies. A cyber security industry expert, Hugh brings more than 30 years of experience in software engineering and product development. A 20-year veteran at Telos, Hugh joined the company in 1999 as vice president of product development. He is the co-founder and architect of Xacta, Telos’ advanced IT governance, risk and compliance (IT-GRC) platform. He is the architect behind five patented technologies that are top security solutions within the federal government and commercial sector. As the principal evangelist and expert on Xacta’s suite of products, Hugh leads solution implementation and strategy efforts tailored to meet the customers’ needs. He is also heavily involved in setting product capability requirements, often meeting with clients and prospects to learn about their challenges and requirements. Throughout his career, he has held a variety of software engineering and management roles, including as a senior product manager for Information Builders, a software solutions provider. Hugh earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the State University of New York College at Brockport. He is also a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and a Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP).
