Before founding Steelehammer Systems I spent more than 20 years in commercial construction. I graduated with an architecture degree, but chose work on the building side rather than the design side of construction. I rose up through the ranks of one of the U.S.’s largest commercial contractors, eventually spearheading the company’s adoption of 3D modeling and digital transformation of the construction management process. It was there I developed a system that would take that digital construction data and turn it into a mobile app that would let the building operator run the building with better efficiency and comfort, and a lower risk of mistakes or malfunctions.
