As an IT leader who is globally experienced in a wide range of disciplines, I have enjoyed the challenges from strategic planning, problem solving, and cultivating new business opportunities, to finding new operational efficiencies. I am committed to people development, and have successfully lead multiple companies through large scale change. I have expertise in running IT functions and have developed a proven record in specifying, creating, developing, and deploying systems and processes. I believe that a well managed IT department serves as a business enabler, operates lean, and has well defined areas of responsibility and operates transparently to facilitate accountability. I have directed and worked hands on in the setup/training/operation of systems and processes from the ground up for new operations covering North America. I have integrated business systems, data, and logistics flow into a global operation in North and South America. I have designed, deployed and managed Active Directory deployments that spanned throughout 17 countries on every continent. I recently oversaw the integration of more than 30 US locations on a very stringent budget. One of the most rewarding tasks I have under taken was the turnaround of a mismanaged IT group that wanted to direct business operations. Always keeping a 3-5 year strategic plan in mind, I am able to manage day to day tasks keeping long term objectives in focus. I find it important in every task to continually improve the business/IT partnership. I try to avoid buzz words, because they often mean different things to different people. "Cloud computing" is one of the worst words ever conceived to put a new sales and marketing spin to technologies that have largely been available for the last decade. My hobbies include doing anything and everything possible with my wife and daughter. We particularly enjoy time with friends, walks in the park, ball room dancing, museums, arts, and travel.
