Michael Sutherland is a Director at HP, an active angel investor and advisor in early stage companies. He is an expert in 3D technologies, Sensors and commercialization of high tech hardware products. As the Director of Product for HP Immersive Computing group he leads a team building HP’s Blended Reality vision. At Leap Motion he drove the growth of the developer program that supports over one hundred thousand developers to build software and Virtual Reality experiences on Leap’s low latency hand and finger tracking sensors. As Vice President at Yost Labs he directed the commercialization of their world leading sensor fusion into the first full body wireless motion capture suit for Virtual Reality developers. Michael obtained his Engineering degree in New Zealand and Singapore in semiconductor and embedded system design and graduated on the Dean’s list with Distinction with an MBA from Hult Business School in San Francisco and Shanghai with a focus on Innovation and leadership.
