Prison Fellowship trains and inspires churches and communities inside and outside of prison to support the restoration of those affected by incarceration. We equip correctional leaders, volunteers, and incarcerated men and women to make prisons more rehabilitative places; we advocate for a more restorative criminal justice system; and we collaborate with churches and local service providers to support former prisoners, their families, and their communities. Prison Fellowship is a national, nonprofit organization founded in 1976 by former Nixon aide Charles Colson. Colson was incarcerated for Watergate-related charges and could not forget those he had left behind prison walls. He launched Prison Fellowship to give prisoners the opportunity to experience the radically transforming power of Christ that he had already experienced.

I work in the greater Milwaukee area doing one-day or half-day trainings for churches and other organizations interested in learning about prison ministry and re-entry work when people get out of jail/prison. I personally volunteer in Racine County Jail with women and in Racine Correctional Institution with my husband Rusty and our team. I am available to talk to people who are interested in this work. I am also interested in advocacy work dealing with issues related to mass incarceration including our broken parole system, the misuse of crimeless revocation, treatment alternatives and diversion programs, overuse of solitary confinement etc.
