Craig is a senior marketing executive and business leader with 25+ years of experience serving financial institutions, professional services organizations, and digital retail shops—including time with iconic brands like The Walt Disney Company and Orbitz. He’s led marketing/CX teams of 100+ people and had direct product P&L accountability for $100MM+. An operationally focused business partner, Craig’s expertise spans strategy development, marketing, and end-to-end CX/BX, with an emphasis on evolving/optimizing digital ecosystems. His exceptional communication, leadership, collaboration, and relationship building skills inform all his work, as does his ability to identify/remove complexity to standardize/simplify. In addition to spending nearly nine years on the SLT of a leading independent digital/marketing agency, Craig has extensive client-side experience, and currently serves as Chief Marketing Officer for Schellman, a globally accredited cybersecurity assessment firm that helps some of the world’s top brands earn the trust of their customers. Before joining Schellman, Craig was Senior Vice President of Digital Strategy & Marketing for Mutual of Omaha. While with Mutual, Craig followed lean business process to get six “blue chip” initiatives up and running, then delivered all on-time/on-budget with demonstrable results—including developing/delivering a headless digital framework from the ground up. Partnering with the P&L owner, Craig led an internal digital media team and external agency that more than doubled the percentage of digitally driven ANBP for the company’s leading DTC product for two consecutive years. He also realigned Mutual’s internal digital team to better support the company’s move to EBA/stable teams—while still allowing for functional expertise growth and development. Craig started his career as a Loan Officer at Greenville Federal Credit Union in Greenville, SC. From a family of educators, he felt compelled to teach, so he returned to the Northeast and earned his M.Ed. while working full-time as a Communications Consultant for The Hartford. As part of his final thesis on web-based educational programs, Craig conceived and delivered an online learning experience. He then applied what he learned to his role at The Hartford—and launched a varied and fulfilling career in digital strategy/marketing/commerce/delivery.
