My focus as a CFO is on actions, people and processes. I relish taking quick, decisive actions in dynamic environments. The most important aspect of my job is to break down the barriers that prohibit all our employees from successfully doing their job. During the past several years I’ve focused on my EQ skills and value system so others see me live by the golden rule, take time to celebrate team successes and promote work/life balance. These produced an employee satisfaction / engagement improvement of 82% over a 2-year period to an eNPS of 69%. After all, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends too, whether traveling, swimming or cooking at home. To me, communication, setting clearly defined goals and empowering employees to make decisions are the keys to running a successful business. Simply put, engaged employees who understand how their actions directly and positively impact the business equates to a keen focus on customer satisfaction and revenue growth. During my 20+ years of experience I’ve been fortunate to be the leader or key contributor on teams that have added value through the following: •Completed over 20 acquisition & divesture events (companies / product lines ranging in revenue from $5M to $100M) resulting in revenue growth of 300%+ & improved cost margins of 20%+; •Delivered a comprehensive customer portfolio review to uncover $700M of cross-sell opportunities by increasing key customer solutions from 1 to 3 with a penetration rate of 1.5 over the first 3 years; •Overhauled the quote-to-cash process associated with 80% of the business resulting in significant cost savings (over 15%) and improved cash flow (40% reduction in DSO); and •Redesigned the accounting close & review cycle to finish by work day 2 of each month, reducing cycle by over 70%.
