Mention Me Ltd is an internet company which specializes in customer acquisition, referral,online marketing and referral programmes.

I am CTO and co-founder at Mention Me. We empower brands to harness the exponential power of fans through referral. Our unique Referral Engineering® approach has delivered more than 4.5m referrals totalling USD $1.5bn in revenue for 450 brands, including Charlotte Tilbury, Farfetch, Nutmeg, Pret a Manger and Puma. We make brands think advocacy-first by turning referral into a strategic acquisition channel that enhances wider marketing activity and the customer experience. This vision is supported by our fast-growing partner network, which includes Emarsys, Ometria, Klaviyo and Trustpilot. Backed by Octopus Ventures and Eight Roads, we’ve raised $32 million in funding since 2018. I lead the Engineering and Data Science teams at Mention Me alongside our CPO and my partner-in-crime Roy Robinson. Prior to Mention Me I spent nine years at HomeAway Group running the market-leading vacation-rental websites Holiday-Rentals.co.uk, Fewo-Direkt.de (Germany) and others. As European CTO I led four multi-disciplinary engineering teams across Europe and saw the company grow from 12 to 1,050 employees in my tenure (the business then IPO'd on the NASDAQ and later sold to Expedia). To broaden my skills, I took a fascinating diversion in 2010 and spent 2 years as General Manager, HomeAway UK where I was responsible for the P&L for the business, delivered 25% YoY growth to £20M revenue, ran the brand, marketing, sales, local product and customer service teams for HomeAway.co.uk and managed an office of 65 people. I work best at the interface between technology and business where I am adept at communicating complex issues clearly. And my passion is creating business value through technology and the demands the resulting growth places on supplying and maintaining practical, pragmatic and appropriate technology.
