Kellen O’Keefe is one of cannabis’s early executives that helped blaze the trail for the blossoming industry today. He has secured over $250 million dollars in investment capital and sourced over $250 million in M&A transactions throughout his cannabis career. Kellen has helped build some of the industry's most iconic brands and is currently the President and Interim CEO of Flower One, Nevada's largest cultivator and producer of cannabis. An activist with an undying passion for the plant, he is committed to ending prohibition and ushering in a thriving global industry that respects the culture and foundation from which it emerged. Prior to joining Flower One, Kellen was an early partner and the Senior Vice President of Business Development at MedMen, where he was instrumental in capitalizing the business and executing the company’s M&A strategy. Kellen has developed a well-earned reputation for delivering on key initiatives, working closely with some of the world’s leading cannabis brands. Outside of cannabis, Kellen also served as the co-creator of Oakley's groundbreaking experiential program “Learn to Ride," where he produced branded content, influencer, and multimedia campaigns for several of his former advertising clients including but not limited to Audi, T-Mobile, and Starbucks. Before his professional forays into the marijuana industry, he held several directorial positions in the media, brand, and advertising sectors. Kellen is active in several children's charities and is a member of Big Brothers & Sisters of Los Angeles. He is also one of the nation’s most steadfast proponents of marijuana legalization efforts at local, state and federal levels, contributing both strategy, time, and capital to the nation's leading advocacy groups. He seeks to address issues regarding reform of the criminal justice system to reduce mass incarceration and create equal opportunity to those disproportionately displaced by drug laws in the United States.
