Currently the COO of Legal & General Investment Management, Michael is a a C-suite calibre asset management professional who earned his reputation building business within BlackRock and helping clients achieve their objectives. Michael has a solid track record, extensive experience, people management, technical and commercial skills gained across his career. Prior to joining LGIM , Michael was regional head of the Client Solutions group at BlackRock,where he architected and drove a radical operational reorganization that reshaped historic product lines into a cohesive, energetic and successful business area. This role evolved from Michael’s three-year leadership of the BlackRock’s fiduciary management business . Prior to this Michael led the establishment of BlackRock’s Aladdin risk management and enterprise investment tools capabilities in EMEA, and establishing beachhead clients and enabling the integration of MLIM. Michael initially established his leadership and entrepreneurial credentials as one of the founders of the Transition Management industry.
