Infrastructure Manager for the Commercial Group of our business. Covering 5 divisions with 48 sites globally, my responsibilities include: Global budget for all of IT, 3 regional managers reporting to me with 26 staff in Infrastructure and 9 (regional/divisional) staff in Application support and development. Running the daily business from server to desktop, collaborating with our Corporate IT group to deliver services such as Email, Firewalls and Active directory. All other services were provided within our division. While I was charged with building our budget we reduced spending by at least 12% year on year through cost cutting, IT staff consolidation, a centralized support model and launching a virtual dial-in help desk which leveraged IT staff located in low cost areas. Implemented company wide cost cutting measures to reduce business expense by standardizing on hardware and software, implementing global purchasing contracts and virtualizing servers and applications to deliver more timely support and speed disaster recovery.
