I started in the market in 2003, straight from St Mary’s University, Twickenham; where I studied Sports Science and Media. My first role was as a Broker with Thompson Heath & Bond (trading as THB Clowes) from 2003-2010. In 2010 I was part of the team that formed Ellis Clowes becoming Managing Director of the Lloyd’s Broker, and Director of the UK retail broker (Ellis Clowes Commercial Ltd) until 2015. Following the sale of the business in 2015 to Integro, I held the positions of Executive Director, Head of Sport and lastly Managing Director Sport, Music and Live Events until I left at the end of February 2020 and joined Miller. At Miller, I will be working with James Hands, David Griffiths and Margaret Sussex to develop new opportunities and work with existing clients in the Sport and Entertainment industries. And will include the placing strategy and structure of their insurance policies in the London insurance markets. My primary focus is on professional sports insurance, with global clients in a variety of sporting sectors; including but not limited to motorsport, golf, tennis and extreme sports. I have also placed Accident & Health, liability and event cancellation covers for events in UK/Europe, North and South America and the East and Australasia. I have spent a good deal of time in the US developing Sport and Entertainment business, buying a US broker and setting up our own business. Aside from the US, I have travelled in Australia, Europe and Asia developing business with local intermediaries there.
