InstaMed reduces the risks, costs and complexities of working with multiple payment vendors by delivering one platform for all forms of payment in healthcare, designed and developed on one code base and supported by one onshore team of experts in healthcare payments. InstaMed enables providers to collect more money from patients and payers while reducing the cost and time to collect. InstaMed allows payers to cut settlement and disbursement costs with electronic payments and facilitate consumerism for their members.

Academically, my extensive course work in the economic department at the University of South Florida has allowed me to gain an understanding of how businesses tend to run. More importantly, I was given the opportunity to study broader elements of economics, including an honor’s thesis centered on a cost-benefit analysis for permanent supportive housing of homeless individuals. As part of my research for the report, I worked with local Tampa Bay shelters and income based construction sites to gain information on their budgets and other variables that might affect the result. This rewarding experience of working to help a large population of homeless individuals sharpened my desire to find a field of employment that allows me to help others. Professionally, I have gained experience working in the Citrus County Housing Services department where I was able to work with low income home energy assistant programs. As part of my work, I assisted individuals with finding affordable housing as well as with bill assistance if they were unable to pay electric or rent for the month. This experience tied into my thesis and helped me further my interest in this field of work. I have also been able to intern with my local Congresswoman which has given me a similar experience with helping individuals in need. Currently, I’m working as an e-commerce analyst with a healthcare payment processor. This opportunity has allowed me to gain an education on various payment transactions such as chargebacks, retrievals, as well as day-to-day direct deposit funding. I’ve been fortunate enough to be able to handle the customer service side of financial transactions as well as research the behind the scenes process for mapping out the data. Every day I learn a bit more in this field which is only pushing me to gain as much experience and information as I can.
