Electronics Engineer
Welcome Hyperdrive Innovation designs and builds lithium-ion battery systems for automotive off highway industrial marine and standby power applications
I discovered a passion for electronics in the early stages of my Mechanical Engineering degree when I made an LED blink with a Raspberry Pi computer. I then pursued electronics as a hobby, added it to my degree and made it my career. Since leaving university I have been designing, testing and refining electronics for lithium-based battery packs used in off-highway vehicles and energy storage applications. domain. Key Skills: • Schematic capture and PCB Layout: Altium Designer, KiCAD. Circuit Simulation: LTSPICE • Working with THT and SMD PCBs: prototyping, hands-on circuit analysis, rework and validation • Multi-Disciplinary circuit design and test: ADCs, Op-Amps, Microcontrollers and SMPS • Familiar with the following communications protocols: CAN bus, UART, I2C and SPI • Developing software using: Visual C#, C/C++ (Arduino) and Visual C++ • Creating Mechanical PCB Drawings in Autodesk inventor • Documenting work carried out: Specifications, DFMEA, FTA and design verification reports
