I am a principle investigator running a neuroscience laboratory devoted to the study of the brain's control of reaching and grasping. We use multi-electrode recordings and advanced computational techniques to study the movement-related information in the brain, and changes in this information that occur during motor learning. We are currently pursuing both basic scientific questions, and applications of emerging knowledge and technology to motor disorders within the rapidly expanding field of neural engineering.
