WSFA has continually built its news department. In the early days, it was one half-hour newscast a day. Now, WSFA airs more than 19 hours of local newscasts each week. Some of the most popular additions to WSFA news were a series of tower-cams, giving viewers aerial views of weather and traffic, and Advanced Super Doppler 12, the city's only live local weather radar. WSFA was also the first television station in the state to upgrade to digital, non-linear video news gathering equipment and the transition to High-Definition is now underway. News coverage and the technology that accompanies it are mainstays at WSFA, however the station is equally grounded in community support projects throughout the year.

As a Marketing Communications and PR leader, I help build amazing teams to create unique experiences and engaging social content for deeper fan connections. I love developing brand strategies for external and internal communications including fully integrated marketing communications that meet specific sales, profit and marketing objectives. I believe brands have an opportunity to connect with guests on the deepest levels. As the Director of Marketing and Communications for Buffalo Wild Wings I led a great team of 15 talented marketers in social media, PR, graphic design and our agency relationships that facilitated overall business growth and managed brand risk by creating and implementing innovative and effective marketing communications to drive traffic and increase sales for 1,250 restaurants. Our team had a blast driving the award-winning creative campaign, What the Favre, which generated 520 stories and earned 1.8 billion earned impressions around the Super Bowl. Buffalo Wild Wings was consistently listed as having a top game advertisement despite not buying an expensive in-game ad. I also enjoy leading our sports sponsorships with NCAA, IMG/Endeavor, Learfield Sports and leveraging these relationships at local activations and sharing memorable sports experiences with our most valued fans. As a natural connector, I’m the person who can easily connect with strangers. I leverage this ability to bond with my teams to inspire them to do great things. Prior to joining Buffalo Wild Wings, I was a senior director of brand, marketing and communications co-leading a team of 28 at AgStar Financial Services and served as the PR Manager at Treasure Island Resort & Casino. Growing up in a small town in southern Minnesota, the youngest of seven kids, I learned at an early age competition helps build character and teamwork inspires tenacity. Passionate about my community, I am the former board member of the Boys and Girls Club, March of Dimes and KMSQ-Public TV.
