My greatest satisfaction comes from creating sustainable solutions that support the overall business and engage each employee to use the full range of their potential in execution of their part in the overall strategy. In short- I like seeing others succeed and creating environments where they are likely to succeed I contribute to organizational success through creation of human capital strategies that align organizational efforts, maximize human potential and engagement. My broad business background beyond Human Resources leading and transforming diverse organizations such as IT, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain and Continuous Improvement informs my decisions in the HR space. I have wide-ranging HR skills in areas such as Compensation, Strategic Benefit Design, Training and Development, Recruiting, Organizational Effectiveness and Strategic Planning. I create thoughtful communication strategies that anticipate how people best receive information and make it meaningful in the context of the workplace. I repositioned two HR organizations from transactional functions into contributing business partners with a key strategic role. An example of this can be found in my leadership of the award-winning EXCELLENCE campaign at Cobham. EXCELLENCE transformed the employment brand, increased employee engagement and resulted in record financial and operational performance. Building an employment brand from the inside out allows employees to be great advocates in their professional and personal communities and establishes a solid, sustainable external employment brand. Employers must address a key paradox: Those organizations that best equip employees with the skills and behaviors attractive to the general marketplace are most likely to retain employees physically and emotionally. Those that respond to this paradox fearlessly and transparently possess a sustainable competitive advantage.
