I have recently returned from a period sailing with my family in the US and Caribbean, and have settled back into the London area and my career.I have been running Channel Digital since founding it in 2006. The business blended both IT and web project management, with an offering that also integrated Digital Marketing, which made for a successful integrated service. In 2013 the daily operations of Channel were handed over to the team in Cornwall, and the company continues to look after its web clients and attract and service new ones. I retain a directorship as well as a personal involvement in some projects.While running Channel I created and delivered a popular range of Internet Marketing courses for Cornish businesses, and lectured on Digital Marketing at Falmouth University. My greatest achievements with the business usually related to designing and implementing truly original and effective solutions for our clients, and bringing them to life.My personal IT experience covers more than 20 years, starting as an programmer and later as a business analyst, project manager and consultant. Prior to that a background in motorsport, engineering, sales and marketing gives me a broad perspective on life and business, and particularly in designing and building creative technical IT solutions that support a businesses bottom line, and lead to tangible benefits and business advantage.I am also a keen sailor, blogger, runner and Scuba diver, as well as taking an active interest in politics, economics and international current affairs.
