First Security is an Arkansas based financial services company with over $4.6 billion in assets and over 70 locations across the State. He has led the bank in the region to place first in deposit market share and customer satisfaction and currently serves as a strategic leader for the bank's marketing and customer engagement strategies. In addition to his work at First Security, John is on the faculty of several banking schools and professional associations including the Barret School of Banking at Christian Brothers University in Memphis, The Arkansas Bankers Association Lending School and the Risk Management Association (RMA) teaching faculty, a Philadelphia based nation wide credit risk management organization. John has led RMA classes on real estate lending and risk management in over 30 locations across the county. He has been the recipient of several awards for his deep involvement in the community including the Conway Area Chamber of Commerce Distinguished Service Award for his economic development role in helping land Hewlett-Packard to Conway. The Faulkner County Leadership Institute awarded him the Dan Nabholz Leadership Award in 2000 for his long time relationship with the community and service organizations. He currently serves as a supporting elder for Fellowship Bible Church of Conway.
