I am a highly experienced technical manager with expertise in building robust solutions to support data needs across many different business platforms spanning marketing, healthcare, H.E.D.I.S., legal, and regulatory requirements. Skilled in designing the underlying data infrastructure to support business needs such as predictive modeling, campaign execution, reporting, data profiling, and analytics. I currently lead a professional team of advanced SAS developers supporting the Marketing organization at Florida Blue. I love to tackle the difficult challenges: designing new data solutions, optimizing processes and providing automation to eliminate the need for manual intervention. In my current role, I have been able to automate more than 200 programs to free up staff to work on new projects. I have developed new internal solutions utilizing SAS to bring tasks that were previously contracted out to external vendors in-house, saving Florida Blue several million dollars the first year. I very rarely say, "That can't be done". Instead, I ask, "How can we do this?". I most often find there is a solution. And, usually, it is a great one. I like to keep my mind open to new ideas, new possibilities, and new ways to approach problems. The only way we can truly grow and develop our skills is to push beyond what we do today.
