By title I am a Recruiting Manager, but in practice, what does that mean? 1. Discover the hiring goals for the business and work collaboratively with the assigned recruiter. We are valued advisers back to the business, we are consultants, not just an order taker. 2. Empower and motivate the team. How can I make their job even better? We work together to set solid goals, work to solve inefficiencies and provide a motivating work environment. I succeed when each member of my team has the tools and the skills to help the business hit their goals. 3. Where are we going? How do we get there? Establishing a vision for the team, uncovering the necessary steps we need to take and then involving the group to help put the vision into action. What is our current state vs. future desired state? What did I do today to help us get a step closer?
