Right now I'm thinking about how owed, earned and paid content are changing the communications profession. And more interestingly, diving head first into making this change happen. This journey started more than a decade ago with the Portland Trailblazers in their sports communications department. Eventually this led to Nike and the lure of the product PR game and working first hand with the best integrated marketing company in the world. Eventually I made my way to SF and into the tech world. Building experience on the agency side working on programs for major brands as well as start-ups. Working the phones (and email, and Twitters...) to create media results at all levels and with all types of outlets - from The Wall Street Journal and New York Times to the lowliest Mac blogs. Along the way working for large companies such as Google, Best Buy as well as private tech companies from startups to pre-IPO companies like Splunk. Now I'm working on the next phase - connecting social and PR under the communications umbrella to drive measurable results.
