As the Vice President – Marketing & Sales Services, I am responsible for ensuring that effective marketing services are provided to the businesses and functional areas that make-up FBL Financial Group, Inc. and that the functions that comprise Marketing Services are in place to help the businesses realize measurable growth in general consumer awareness of our companies, products and services; growth in customer acquisition and retention; and growth in customer, household, and market penetration and cross-sell rates. These strategies and activities are designed to drive incremental premium for each of the businesses, as well as retain existing premium. The Marketing Services department is responsible for providing effective marketing services to each of the businesses and functional areas that make-up FBL Financial Group, Inc. This includes customer acquisitions, development, loyalty & retention objectives and underlying strategies that include: awareness and visibility, lead generation, sales promotion & sales support, new customer on-boarding, customer cross-selling & contact frequency, and customer attrition prevention and recovery. Tactical areas of support include corporate, company and alliance partner brand development and management, development and execution of general multi-channel advertising and media strategies, development and production of product and other consumer multi-channel communications, development and execution of corporate-wide, multi-channel public relations publicity, and employee communications. Oversee the development and management of consumer direct mail, email, telemarketing, statement channel communications, web-site content development and management. Oversee the design and executer primary and secondary market research, market and customer analyses, marketing data base development and management, sales forecasting, and sales contest modeling and administration for businesses and distribution channels associated with FBL.
