25+ years of leading all functions of branded, consumer focused business as CEO, President and/or COO. Additional experience and impact as Board member of 14 different public, private equity or venture-backed companies (plus several non-profits). Fortunate to have been immersed in all sides of today’s multi-channel landscape: DTC (E-commerce and stores), wholesale, licensing, brands and private label. Vans and PacSun were both public company turnarounds. Fashion Nova, SKIMS and G.O.A.T. are each high growth, entrepreneurial DTC digital leaders. Aritzia has continued to grow and flourish from a small store base in Canada to an emerging omni-channel fashion leader across North America. Scale of businesses have ranged from <$100M at the start, to ~$2B; 65 employees to more than 20,000 at peak of Holiday; more than 900 owned retail stores to leaders among today’s global eCommerce platforms; with a common peak valuation threshold in excess of $1B. While each situation has been different, my priorities and passions have remained largely the same: compelling strategy; high talent teams; creativity and innovation; collaborative and results oriented cultures. Unique start to my career becoming a partner in middle market private equity firm gave me the equivalent of a “9 year MBA” and great insights particularly tied to strategy, competitive assessment, acquisitions, value creation and leadership.
