Mark Carleo is an entrepreneur and technology executive with more than 30 years of experience in IT, software development and project management. Mark currently works with several early stage companies as an investor and advisor in digital publishing, health care, e-commerce and mobile technology. Prior, Mark led the development of Ruelala.com the leading private sale e-commerce site for Retail Convergence (RCI) where he was the Chief Technology Officer. Mark also managed development of RCI's other e-commerce property SmartBargains.com. GSI Commerce recognized the outstanding growth and value created by RueLaLa.com with the acquisition of RCI in 2009. Mark co-founded Celarix (acquired by GXS), an application service provider of supply chain management and execution tools. Celarix's advanced multi-tenant SOA architecture and high performance rules engine is used by leading retailers and manufactures to manage global manufacturing orders and shipments. Earlier, he was a partner with CSC Consulting, a large, global professional services organization, where he focused on IT operations, order management and supply chain applications with retail, consumer products and industrial companies. Mark has extensive experience in large-scale application development and infrastructure, Retail ecommerce, supply chain management, ERP, and outsourcing. Mark has worked with leading companies such as Lowe’s, Williams-Sonoma, TJX, Agilent, Sharp Electronics, Stride-Rite, Raytheon, and FootAction USA. In addition, he is frequently called upon to advise early stage companies in the development of their products and services.
