As an entrepreneur and former small-business owner, Walt has made closed deals across a spectrum of industries including real estate, technology, agriculture, defense, fintech, and more through his career in private equity. He has also brokered strategic partnerships between his clients and multiple Fortune 500 companies including Google, Home Depot, Lowes, Amazon, HSN, HGTV, and Microsoft. Walt has served as a visiting lecturer at MIT, University of Massachusetts, Kansas State University, University of South Carolina, Furman University, Presbyterian College, and Lander University. He has shared marketing and digital business insights at many domestic and international marketing conferences. He has been a trusted source for marketing insights for publications including The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Forbes, Reuters, Time, Internet Retailer, Business Insider and Search Marketing Strategies Magazine. Walt studied English at Lander University and was initially a high school English teacher. He also holds a degree from Spartanburg Methodist College and has completed coursework at the Stanford Executive Institute, NYU - Stern, and the MIT - Sloan School of Business.
