Business-Technology Alignment is possible.Today I'm Chief Digital Officer at Ramsey Solutions. Reporting to the CEO, I'm responsible for all things technology/data. This includes our Digital strategy, digital development, I.T., CRM, Platform & Architecture, digital product management, data analytics/platform AND our flux capacitors. I've worn many hats in my career including Senior Vice President, Product Manager, Developer, Analyst and Sales. With my diverse background, an insatiable curiosity and ability to play well with others, I have been able to lead incredible teams and get results. As SVP, I conceived and lead the effort to create EveryDollar--an online budget tool now used by over 2m people. That was incredibly rewarding and fun.Here's some more about what I'm doing these days: -Leading our incredibly talented CIO/CTO/Dir of Analytics and sit on our company's board. Working with talented people is a privilege. -I'm fluent in geek and exec-speak.-I love connecting the dots and making things simple. -I like data... when it aligns with my gut.-I like taking calculated, big risks. -I think 'strategy' is a euphemism for 'decisive' or 'decision-making.' (Because execution is what matters.)-I believe a P&L is a scorecard that tells you if what you planned a year ago was winning or not. -The thing I love the most is getting results.
