Dr Huub Scheres, Director Science& Regulatory Advocacy at IFF , studied Biology in Nijmegen and holds a PhD in Medical Biology from the University of Maastricht. He held positions as Toxicology Study Director at CRL, and Regulatory Director and Staff Officer in multinational companies like VION, Akzo Nobel, and ThermoFisher. Since 1996 with Genencor International. In his career he focused on Advocacy& Quality and Regulatory pharmaceuticals, medical devices and biotechnology derived products like food and feed enzymes globally. He is also active globally in public affairs networks through trade associations working with governmental organisations, parliament and NGOs in the food, feed and biotech platforms advocating sustainability solutions; EU SFI (Vice chair, www.elc-eu.org), President of Euvepro and Primary Food Processors, Europa-Bio (Industrial Biotech Cttee), Niaba and FNLI, both Netherlands). Huub has 3 children and lives in The Netherlands, close to Brussels. Hobbies are Family&Friends, outdoors sports and board games.
