As Chief Information Officer for Cherry Bekaert, JP leads the development and implementation of CB’s information technology (IT) operations consistent with the Firm’s strategic plan. JP directs IT resources firm-wide to best support all offices, departments, and industry and service groups through the use of emerging technologies. He is responsible for the management and development of IT projects and business applications, as well as the efficient maintenance of CB’s technology infrastructure.Prior to joining CB, JP spent 10 years with Davenport & Company, a Richmond-based investment firm. At Davenport, JP served in a variety of information technology and management roles. Most recently, JP served as the firm’s first vice president of information technology, where he was responsible for all corporate technology, including application development, infrastructure, communications, information security, business continuity and support.JP is a member of the Rich Tech CIO Roundtable and is involved with Virginia Commonwealth University’s School of Business as a guest lecturer and mentor to graduate students.
