I'm an effective and thoughtful strategic marketer, leader and colleague. I rely on realistic KPIs to help determine which marketing activities are working, identify areas for improvement, and stop what's not working (which is often the hardest part). Customer experience is always top of mind. During 2020, I helped the BMJ Americas marketing team adapt to a “new" way of working while providing the encouragement and guidance needed to navigate the uncertain times safely and successfully. This required us to be flexible and agile, pivoting from pre-planned initiatives to campaigns that prioritized the needs of the broader healthcare community. The pause of in-person events also required us to better utilize channels such as video marketing for sales, which proved to be highly effective at positioning BMJ products in a more sensitive manner. I am proud that our - quickly - updated marketing strategy not only embodied BMJ’s value proposition but also helped the sales team achieve 5% in new sales and retain a 98% revenue rate.
