I am a marketing executive with 15 years of experience in the financial and healthcare industries. I have a broad-based background that encompasses strategic planning and results-oriented marketing strategy combined with a strong understanding of data, analytics and research to successfully capitalize on key market opportunities. My experience includes knowledge and utilization of various traditional, digital and social media platforms. To me, the term 'marketing' does not even begin to explain the role of marketers in today's world. Marketing is defined as: the action or business of promoting and selling products or services, including market research and advertising. But marketing no longer involves throwing a message at multiple platforms, hoping that at least one sticks and consumers will walk in your front doors. Our job as marketers is to use the data and the resources available to us to determine the most effective and efficient ways to educate consumers about what our organization has to offer. In today's world, consumers are exposed to marketing messages at every turn (including at every touch of a button) and are more distracted than ever. With the overwhelming amount of channels available to us, our job is no longer how to get our message 'out', but how to actually get our message 'in'. When I'm not immersed in the world of marketing, you'll likely find me on the sidelines of one of my boys ball games. My life is filled with the craziness of raising three boys. The sign on our front door says it all, 'If we're not home, we're at the ballfield'. In the event we do come up with any free time between baseball, football and basketball seasons, you'll likely find us floating down the Current River any time the weather is even remotely warm enough.
