The art of informing is my niche; it is what I am passionate about and furthermore it is what I excel at. As a minority, the feeling of inferiority is ever common and with it follows quietness. Journalism gives me the platform to release my quieted voice and become a speaker of change for society. My cultural awareness has been sparked and influenced by my experiences as a black woman and my teachings at diversity conferences. My journalism experience stems from my innate ability to fervently write, speak, and discover. Also, the many journalism institutes and classes I have taken. My past work experience has instilled customer service and public speaking skills in me and also prepared me for fast pace and hard working conditions .
