An accomplished leader and communications executive with more than 30 years of experience winning and growing business, creating high-impact marketing campaigns, building and inspiring teams, cultivating strong client relationships, managing profitable operations and creating and launching innovative products, practices and methodologies. I joined Zeno Group in 2016 as the agency's first global Chief Operating Officer. Zeno is a global integrated communications agency born from PR, with more than 500 employees in 20+ offices around the world. An award-winning midsize challenger agency with a fearless culture, Zeno specializes in brand marketing and corporate reputation management, offering a full suite of digital, content, production, research, editorial, experiential, issues management and media (paid, owned and earned) services for clients that span tech, healthcare, food/nutrition, CPG, travel/tourism, retail, sports and entertainment and more. Prior to Zeno I worked in a variety of capacities spanning more than 25 years at Edelman, Zeno's sister agency and the world's largest public relations firm. I launched and led Edelman's digital practice, served as president of the agency's Midwest region, growing Edelman Chicago to become the largest PR firm in the city, and helped lead and grow Edelman U.S. during my tenure as president and COO from 2008-2011. I led sizable client relationships, pitched and won myriad assignments, recruited and developed outstanding talent, managed and motivated best-in-class teams, led and managed an acquisition, and created and launched new products and revenue streams for the firm. I served as the agency's first Chief Innovation Officer, introducing a new approach to media and storytelling, elevating its content offering, recruiting innovative partners,and helping to foster and promote an entrepreneurial culture around the sourcing and sharing of ideas across the firm. Most recently I served as Vice Chairman, Client Engagement, overseeing a portfolio of several dozen global growth clients and the ongoing development of best-in-class client relationship managers to lead them.
