Yorkshire Building Society is a financial services company which located in Yorkshire Drive, City Of Bradford.

A TOGAF 9 certified IT professional with 30+ years experience consisting of a strong Oracle application and database design and general software development background, along with many other technologies and disciplines over the years including, Unix systems administrations and development DBA along with a variety of technical team management roles. Now in the re-established Enterprise Architecture team as of August 2022 to continue work evolving our cloud strategy and cloud readiness, I originally joined the Enterprise Architecture function at Yorkshire Building Society in August 2016 to start a new role as Infrastructure Architect where I was mainly involved in developing our Cloud Strategy, co-writing a board paper and dealing with technology peers and senior management across the business. I have established productive relationships with technology partners from Microsoft, Oracle, HPE, CDW, Cintra, Red Hat, IBM and more to support our direction and to develop a roadmap for both our on and off-premise IT solutions alongside my colleagues in the Architecture function. In the two years prior, I operated as a technical project sponsor, managing virtual teams made up of IT technicians and stakeholders across the entire breadth of the business, enabling me to apply the blend of technical know-how with being able to engage key people on a strategic business goal level. I sponsored and technically led work to deliver a data masking and data sub-setting capability for our Core database and applications to enable our off-shore resource to be utilised further whilst remaining compliant in respect of our customer data.
