My name is Luke Johnson, and I specialize in fraud mitigation and investigation. I have nearly 11 years of experience working in fraud mitigation within the online gaming arena. During this time I've developed my skills in pattern recognition, behavioral analysis, chargeback arbitration, and investigation of fraud networks. I’ve supervised teams of detection and investigation specialists responsible for fraud and loss mitigation in both the online and real-world environments, including internal investigations of a confidential nature. My duties have included manual review of purchases, writing and executing SQL queries to mine data and produce reporting, tracking and documentation of fraud rings and related suspects, and presentation of cases to local and federal law enforcement agencies. I have documented and presented training in operational and investigative processes, and identified and implemented solutions to improve operational efficiency. Some of my past accomplishments include maintaining a level of fraudulent purchases and chargebacks well below industry standards despite having no third-party solutions in place (such as rules management or fraud screening systems), and identifying opportunities for system automation and process improvements which produced an estimated gain of over 900 hours per year.
