Patrick Terry has more than 30 years of professional leadership experience in public accounting with international, regional, and local firms. He has wide-ranging expertise in a variety of industries including financial services, technology, real estate, manufacturing & distribution, and professional services. He’s worked extensively with closely-held companies, not-for-profit and venture/private equity-backed entities. His specialty areas include data analytics, traditional financial (GAAS) as well as yellow-book (GAGAS) audits, mergers and acquisitions, and due diligence. As the leader of the Data Analytics and Technology Segments for Windham Brannon, Patrick works with teams within Windham Brannon which spans the service lines in the firm to offer a balance of knowledge and experience in specific areas. Using data analytics, he and his team use tools and techniques to provide the the insight from using client data to better understand the past results and how to then leverage this insight to predict and prescribe future results. For clients in the technology industry, Patrick and his team provide a holistic approach to the owner and entity which is achieved from consulting on entity selection and accounting services to fractional CFO services and state and local income tax as well as tax planning and transaction support. These teams focus on the needs of companies and their owners over the life of the entity from startup to exit and thereafter, with a seamless approach. Through his experience with various stage companies, Patrick anticipates the needs these entities will have and draws from the vast knowledge base the team possess; while maintaining an integral role in the service delivery. Patrick is a graduate of Kennesaw State University (KSU) – Michael J. Coles College of Business where he received his BBA degree in Accounting & Finance. Currently, Patrick is a member of the Strategic Planning Committee for the KSU School of Accounting. He is also a member of the American Institute of CPAs, the Georgia Society of CPAs, the MIT Forum, and the Technology Association of Georgia, as well as an advisor at Atlanta Technology Village, where you will find him every Friday working with startups, paying it forward.
