Wilson Memorial is a non-profit, independant community hospital under the leadership of a volunteer Board of Trustees, consisting of community leaders and physicians. The Board is responsible for: Establishing the vision, mission, and goals of the hospital. Ensuring the highest quality patient care. Securing the financial health of the hospital. Building positive community relationships. Ensuring qualified and competent executive management performance. Fundraising to fulfill the hospital's mission. Although many members also support the hospital on a philanthropic basis, the hospital benefits to an even greater degree from the expertise and guidance provided by these volunteers on matters of institutional significance.

I am a supply chain and operations professional with experience managing: financials and budgets, procurement/purchasing, sourcing, logistics, contracting, negotiating, vendor selection and management, new product and equipment sourcing, capital acquisition, project management, value analysis, system implementations, and managing inventories and teams of people. Project management includes furniture, fixture, and equipment purchases for new freestanding clinics, hospital wings, offices, and conference centers. I have worked in large hospital systems, community hospitals, and independent hospitals over the past 19 years. Some non-traditional, innovative experience includes developing several significant businesses from the ground-up resulting in millions of dollars of cost savings and new revenue as well as higher-level customer service and improved outcomes. I have started businesses both within organizations and independently. I possess a global perspective developed by significant experience in international business and international travel, living and working overseas with customers in approximately 120 countries. My global activities include selling food-processing lines and restaurant equipment, turnkey building project management, equipment sales and installation, managing a service team, sourcing, vendor development, international logistics, overseas customer order administration, business development, and exhibiting and attending trade shows. I have worked in multiple sectors including, healthcare, non-profits, manufacturing, service, and sales. My business development work includes developing vendor networks domestically and abroad, sales and service, and finding cost-savings in organizations that can be used more effectively to grow their business and capabilities.
